ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm John - a Los Angeles-based record producer, recording engineer, and mixer. Originally hailing from just outside DC in Vienna, Virginia, my journey in music started at a young age when I would collect CDs and jam to them until they were scratched to hell.
I got my first guitar for Christmas when I was little, but my musical curiosities soon led me to pick up the drums and study under the talented Daniel Greenberg for several years. Alongside my drumming, I also delved into music theory and keyboard skills through the Fairfax Academy, all while continuing to develop my passion for recording.
Starting with a two-track tape machine in my childhood basement, I gradually built a home studio around Logic Pro that soon became a hub for local high school rock bands. I knew early on that I wanted to pursue a career in music, and so I headed off to Berklee College of Music in Boston to study performance, business, and music production & engineering.
Under the tutelage of industry heavyweights like Mark Wessel, Prince Charles Alexander, and Susan Rogers, I honed my craft and graduated with a Bachelor of Music in Music Production & Engineering.
After college, I headed out to the City of Angels to make a name for myself in the music industry. Within months, I landed a gig as a recording engineer and record producer for hit songwriter Rick Nowels. Under his wing, I've had the chance to collaborate with some of the biggest names in the business, from Adele and Dua Lipa to London Grammar and Jewel.
But my work doesn't stop there. I also specialize in indie rock and alternative genres, offering my skills as a freelance recording engineer to artists who want to bring their unique sounds to life.
Through all the ups and downs of my musical journey, one thing has always remained constant: my love for music. It's an honor to be able to work in an industry I'm so passionate about, and I can't wait to see what the future holds.
